1. The Taming of the Shrew was a play about a young man (Petruchio) who tries to tame a young spoiled woman (Kathreine). Meanwhile, another young man (Lucentio) falls in love with Kathreine’s sister Bianca. In the end each man sees who’s wife loves them more and as it turns out, Kathreine the one least likely to love is the one who loves the most.

a) My overall impression of the play wasn’t good. It was not easy to follow, like Joey said it was difficult to understand what they were saying and I didn’t understand what some of the characters had to do with the play.
b) The costumes in the play were definitely a strong point. All the colors of the costumes really seemed to go with the characters personality. The scenery was kind of dull but I think the lighting made up for it. It was easy to tell between the night lighting, the morning lighting and the day lighting.
